North Slope Border
Due to Rapids Cemetery longstanding history and subsequent decline. the area was often used as a playground for neighborhood youths. By 1976 it was completely abandoned.
The goal this area is a Heritage Tree Nursery to blend into the existing treeline in the 19th ward.

Heritage Tree Nursery concept proposed for Rapids Cemetery at the north border ties in with the locale’s historical use in the nineteenth century.
